No license plate for me

July 11, 2008

I wish I could afford a car! This vanity plate would be perfect for some late night cruising down the streets of gold.

Come to think of it, I don’t remember seeing any vanity plates in here in Heaven. I wonder why that is?

Columnist Cal Thomas has declared that Obama is not a Christian because Obama says “there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.”

Look, Cal, Obama’s right.  I’m as surprised as you are.  But up here I’ve had a lot of unexpected company, and almost to a one, none of them are into replacing the Constitution with Leviticus.  Go figure.

The recent Pew Survey said that 57% of evangelicals believe non-Christians can go to heaven without converting. So the Southern Baptists did their own survey, which showed that only 20% of real evangelicals commit universalist thought crimes.

So there.
